Spoken English.

English being a global language and most of the conversation at international level is in English,  everyone wants to learn it for their day to day interaction. If so,  is English difficult? No, English is easier than  Indian languages. So let’s learn English in this colomn. Today we shall start with simple words which are action words. In grammatical term it is called ‘verb’.

Today’s lesson is if you want to say something in English  about your day to day activity (your routine work) how do you speak?

Eg. In Kannada ನಾನು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ  ಏಳುತ್ತೆನೆ. I get up in the morning.
ನಾನು ಹಲ್ಲು ತಿಕ್ಕುತ್ತೆನೆ. Try this in English. (ತಿಕ್ಕು-brush) I brush teeth
Now frame  sentences using these action words
take, bath, comb, eat, read, fill, go, study, play

Come on we shall use these words in our speech.
I take bath (you can add the time) I take bath at 6. I peat(have) my breakfast…..(you can add time) I I have my breakfast at 7. I read the time table….I fill my bag…..I go to school……I study at school……I play with my friends…..
Now let’s see how do you use these sentences in your spoken English using linking words such as and, then. Afterwards etc. Everyday I get up at 6 in the morning then I  brush my teeth and do my exercise. After that I take bath, dress up and comb my hair. Then I have my breakfast, read the news paper. Then I  read my timetable and fill my bag. At 8.30 I go to school. In the school study and play with my friends.

Correct peat as eat …

Exercise…use these words in sentences…..write, study, learn, sleep, work, cook…use linking words and speak 2 to 3 sentences at a time.
